Hike the Dike
The Nooksack River borders both parks and runs to Bellingham Bay. In summer, the Friends have sponsored a 6 mile nature hike along the river banks.
Evening Programs give local historians an opportunity to share their knowledge and research about the fascinating story of the parks and the people who have helped build Whatcom County.
Interpretive Site Docents
Volunteers assist park visitors and school groups with tours of the Interpretive Center Museum, the Wetland boardwalk, and the Fragrance Garden.
The Friends rally community and legislative support to ensure continued funding for the parks and programs.
